Training

EcoVadis, tender and sustainability training for your team.

Courses that help your team meet what customers are asking for, so you keep the contracts you have and win more. Half-day and full-day sessions, or a programme built around your business.

Who we've worked with

West & North Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce, Leeds Beckett University, City & Guilds, CBRE, Santander, British Plastics Federation, Ministry of Defence, Manchester City Council, American Airlines and HSBC.

Course 1: New to EcoVadis

What it is, why you're being asked for it and how to use it to win work.

What the session covers

  • What EcoVadis is and why customers and procurement teams are asking suppliers for it
  • How the assessment works and what good evidence looks like
  • What to prepare internally before you start
  • How to build clear ownership across the business
  • How to use EcoVadis activity in customer, sales and tender conversations

Who should attend: business owners, sales and commercial teams, quality, procurement, operations and sustainability teams, and anyone responsible for a first EcoVadis response.

You'll leave knowing what's being asked, what good preparation looks like and how to use EcoVadis as more than a compliance exercise.

Course 2: Improving your EcoVadis score

How to raise your score and get more from the EcoVadis network.

What the session covers

  • How to read the scorecard and find the areas worth prioritising
  • Where your policies, actions, evidence and reporting need to become stronger
  • How to focus effort on changes that can improve your next assessment
  • How to build better internal ownership ahead of reassessment
  • How to use your EcoVadis position in customer and procurement conversations

Who should attend: teams with an existing EcoVadis score or assessment history, including sustainability, quality, procurement, operations, sales and commercial leaders.

You'll know where to spend your time so it improves both the next assessment and what you get from it with customers.

Course 3: Sustainability within tenders

How to win more of the sustainability marks and compete without relying on the lowest price.

What the session covers

  • How to spot the sustainability weighting, scoring criteria and evidence requirements before you start writing
  • How to turn the carbon, social value, governance and supply chain work you already do into credible tender evidence
  • How to write sustainability answers that are specific, evidenced and easy to score
  • How sales, bid and sustainability teams can work together earlier in the process
  • How to build evidence you can reuse in future tenders

Who should attend: bid managers, sales teams, commercial leaders, sustainability teams, procurement, marketing and operational colleagues involved in tender responses.

You'll leave able to write sustainability answers an evaluator can score.

Course 4: Commercial sustainability

Which of your sustainability work customers care about, and how to use it in sales.

What the session covers

  • Where sustainability is now coming up in customer, procurement, tender and supply chain conversations
  • How to tell which sustainability work matters to your customers
  • How to turn work you already do into credible evidence instead of starting from zero
  • How carbon, EcoVadis, social value and governance can support sales and account management
  • How to focus investment on what customers are asking for

Who should attend: owners, directors, sales and commercial teams, sustainability, procurement, finance, marketing and operations.

You'll leave with a clearer view of where sustainability supports revenue, customer retention, risk and growth, and where to focus next.

Bespoke training for your business

If several of your teams deal with customer, supplier or sustainability questions, a bespoke programme brings your sustainability, compliance, technical, purchasing and sales people into the same room.

It can be built around

  • Your specific customer and supplier sustainability requirements
  • The tender questions and evidence your teams are dealing with
  • Where ownership sits across your teams
  • How different teams can use the same evidence consistently
  • The priorities and risks that matter to your business

Scope, team size and format are agreed with you.
